Dear friend,

I am sitting in my office with the wind howling around me and the rain driving against my office door as I write this CEO letter.  Not a very nice day at all but I trust you are keeping well and warm. Although the weather is inclement, I am warmed and encouraged as I read reports of what God is doing through the ministry of Reach Beyond around the world, and especially the impact of the NZ office.

Janice Reid is a NZ based radio trainer and with extensive ministry in the Asia Pacific region.  She can arguably claim to have impacted hundreds of thousands of people through her ministry as she trains and encourages station manager and announcers.  She also works with our regional tech team to make sure the stations stay on the air.

Here is a report she received recently.

My name is Pastor Michael, and I am pleased to share a heartfelt testimony from one of Zion Radio’s most faithful listeners, Mrs. Wijaya, who is currently 89 years old and lives not far from the station. 

During a recent visit, Mrs. Wijaya showed me her beloved radio, which she has been using for over 30 years. Despite its age, the radio still functions well with clear sound—and throughout all those years, the only station she has ever listened to is Zion. 

With a joyful and radiant smile, Mrs. Wijaya shared how the programs from Zion Radio have been a source of strength and comfort to her, especially in her elderly years. After a period when she couldn’t receive the broadcast clearly, she is now able to listen again with excellent sound quality—an experience that fills her with deep joy.  Mrs. Wijaya’s unwavering loyalty is a powerful reminder that radio ministry continues to have a meaningful and lasting impact. May her story encourage us all to remain faithful in our service through the airwaves.
