CEO Letter January 2026

CEO Letter January 2026

Dear Friend ,

Happy New Year. I am so looking forward to 2026. I am excited about seeing God work both here at MWCC and in the work of Reach Beyond around the world. This CEO letter is a bit longer than usual but I figure you are on holiday and have time for a bit of a read and, besides, I have so much to tell you.

Testimonies from Ghana

The first thing I want to share to start our year is a testimony from the chief of a village where we installed a pole in October. It is a village called Okpenwa and the pole was fully funded by a generous Reach Beyond NZ supporter.

This is what he said;

“We are so very thankful for the pole. It brings us light. We listen to the scriptures every day, and at night, when the music starts to play, we gather ‘round the pole, and we listen to the music and then to the scriptures, and then we have

our community meeting. It is a wonderful gift you have given us.”

Another village in the Volta region wrote;

“The pole has truly become the centre of our village. For example, when we have a funeral we use the microphone and loudspeakers to pay tribute to the one who has died.” (We never imagined that use for the poles!)

Transforming Communities

In another village, when Bob was there, a young girl in her early teens, came up to him and said

“You have no idea how much this means to me and to the village. We feel cared for and we can discover new things”

These stories warm my heart! Alfred, our dedicated partner on the ground in Ghana, is receiving constant calls from nearby villages begging for their own Mission Pole. The demand is growing fast—which brings us to an exciting challenge and a miraculous answer.

A Miracle of Provision

Our previous manufacturer in Ghana kept raising prices, making poles unaffordable. Through prayer, creative thinking, and God’s clear guidance, we explored manufacturing in China. Bob invested significant time researching options, and we’ve now identified a reliable supplier and sent our designs.

To make it cost-effective, we need to order and ship 40 poles at once—a major expense far beyond our NZ office budget.

At the same time, I was preaching on Matthew 14:13–36, focusing on Jesus’ identity and miracles, including the feeding of the 5,000+. When the disciples went to Jesus with the need they had identified, he said to them, “You give them something to eat”, and low and behold, when they starting using what they had He multiplied the loaves and fish to feed everyone.

The key truths God spoke to me were: He never asks us to do something without providing the resources; we must focus on His power and ability to perform the miraculous, and to use what we have, then trust Him for the rest.

This message arrived at the perfect moment. I had no idea how we’d fund even the deposit, but we stepped out in faith. And God provided miraculously. Through a generous donor, we received seed funding to place the order! Praise Him for His faithfulness.

We still need funds to ship, clear customs, and install the poles in Ghana. But I have no doubt God will supply. Already, 16 villages in the Northern region, where Islamist groups are active, are waiting eagerly.

How You Can Help

Each Mission Pole costs NZ$9,000 to manufacture, ship, and install. They transforming an entire village with light, phone charging, daily Bible readings, Biblical teaching, music, and community gatherings.

We’ve created a secure webpage where you can view waiting villages and sponsor one directly (or partially). Please visit https://thefaithfund.org/ today and feel free to share it with friends and family!

Your gift will bring lasting hope and the Gospel to unreached communities.

Other Exciting Updates

Robbie Pearson has built another trailer-mounted Mission Pole for demonstrations here in New Zealand. (Photo attached. It’s looking fantastic!) The trailer and our team will be at Festival One, come and say hi if you’re there! We’re praying this inspires a new generation to reach the unreached.

We’ve just ordered another 10,000 bilingual Bible comics. Many will be distributed at Festival One, and a large batch is heading to Waitangi with Māori Postal Aotearoa and OAC.

We have some short-term mission opportunities with our Swedish office in 2026:

• Greece (February 9–19): Refurbishing a building in Athens for refugee healthcare. Needed: builders (carpenters, painters) and possibly healthcare professionals.

• Central Asia (one of the ‘stans’) Dates: May 30–June 8, to be confirmed: Running day camps for children in mountain villages.

Thank you for reading this far and I hope you are as excited and encouraged as I am. God is doing great things through Reach Beyond as we stay true to our mission of Sharing Jesus, Giving Hope, and Transforming Communities.

Wishing you a safe, joyous New Year filled with God’s blessings.
