Dear friend,
Do not tell me God is not alive and well. Don’t even mention that God doesn’t work miracles. The older I get, the more I realise that God is absolutely committed to working out His plan of Salvation in the world. In the last two weeks I have seen God do the miraculous. Let me tell you how.
As you would know, our next lot of Mission Poles are going up in the northern region of Ghana. A 1 – 2 day trip (one way) from our base in Accra. This region is highly Muslim and some of it is considered too dangerous for Europeans to go. We, the Mission Pole team, were wondering what to do and how we would make it work. We knew that is what God wanted, He had opened doors for us, but some of the detail was missing.
So, at EMDC (a media distribution conference), where Bob, Josh and I have been for the last week, we met with a group of mission agencies who had a focus on Africa. We met a couple who have a mission in the Northern part of Ghana who have 6 Ghanaian national evangelists who are focused on that exact area. They thought the Poles were a fantastic idea and are very keen to work with us. Please praise God with me for this incredible answer to prayer.

Another time I was sitting having lunch and a man came and sat at the table I was at. We got talking and I asked him what his mission does. He said, “We provide the Bible in audio format in over 600 languages.” I asked him, “Do you have any languages from northern Ghana?” He smiled, opened up his computer and showed me 20 languages from that area! Ones we don’t have! Tell me God isn’t real!
Another incredible thing that happened is that the Mission Pole Project has become a special project for Reach Beyond worldwide. At the Global Leadership Team (GLT) meeting we had last week, it was decided that a global team be formed so that more people will know about the Poles and more countries and unreached people groups will be able to have the Poles in their communities. I am looking forward to sharing more with you about this initiative in months to come. God is certainly working.

All of this is due to your faithful prayer support. I love it when I hear from people that they pray for us every day! I can’t tell you how encouraging that is, and the profound effect it is having. People are being saved, transformed. Communities are better, families are restored.
Can I ask you to please make it a real matter of prayer that the container with our next 40 Poles from China gets safely on the ship and on its way to the port of Tema in Ghana. Pray for the positive response to our request for import duty and customs fees to be waived.
We live in exciting times and I hope you are encouraged in your partnership with us.
Oh, and please pray with me that there will be more opportunity to tell the wonderful story of the Mission Poles to churches and homegroups here in New Zealand.
