CEO Letter May 2026

Dear friends

Last Sunday I had a fantastic experience. Church was just amazing and as I was driving home, with a guy from the community I have been working with, he was obviously very excited. I asked him what happened and he said that during a prayer time someone shared with him that they were having problems. His ‘aha’ moment was that he realised that other people going to church had issues too! He wasn’t the only one. I found myself wondering how Christendom has made people feel they can’t come to church because they have “issues.” Jesus met people at their point of need and loved them into transformation. Praise God.

I love the fact that the mission poles in Ghana (and soon to be other countries) are meeting villages and villagers at their point of need. Just today, as I was writing this letter, I got a video testimony from a village talking about the difference the mission pole had made for them. What a privilege to be involved in this Gospel-centred Kingdom work!

As you know, I don’t often ask for money, but today I do have a strategic and practical request that will make our work significantly more efficient, cost-effective, and secure.

We pay a local transport company to deliver the poles as we only have a small ute and the poles need a truck. To go to the next tranche of villages up in the Northern and Eastern regions it will be a significant cost and security problem. The road distance is approximately 620 km via the main routes, with a typical transit time of 1–2 days. Hiring a truck and driver would cost approximately NZ$5,500 per trip. We make at least three such trips per year, and these repeated hires are both expensive and limiting.

After much prayer and careful evaluation, we believe the time has come to purchase our own lockable Box Truck. The total cost of a suitable vehicle (including registration, and initial fit-out) is approximately NZ$38,000. Thanks to generous gifts already received, we have NZ$12,000 secured. We are therefore asking the Lord to provide the remaining NZ$26,000 so we can put the truck into immediate service in August.

Owning our own Box Truck will bring multiple lasting benefits:

• Elimination of the NZ$5,500 hire fee for each of the three (or more) annual trips, delivering major cost savings that can be redirected into more poles and more villages reached.

• Workshop space on the truck for on-site repairs and maintenance.

• The ability to carry essential spares and additional equipment without extra cost or logistics.

• Greatly enhanced security. The truck can be fully locked, reducing the need for security guards.

This will increase our capacity, reduce ongoing expenses, and allow us to respond more quickly to opportunities in the Northern Regions. Would you prayerfully consider standing with us to help meet this NZ$26,000 need? Any gift will be received with deep thankfulness and will be used 100% for the purchase of the Box Truck.
