CEO Letter October 2025

CEO Letter October 2025

Dear friends ,

Hi. What exciting times we are living in! People are hungry for the Good News of Jesus. Here at Mt Wellington Community Church, we are seeing new people coming each week

to church. Some are not yet Christ followers, and others are ‘prodigals,’ people who have wandered away and, for whatever reason, have decided they need to be part of a vibrant

faith community again.

Seeing people come to faith or renew their faith is one of life’s great joys. That is why I am so thrilled to tell you that, this month, we are putting up eight more Mission Poles in

Ghanaian villages. This is a huge step of faith for us. After seeing the results of the lives changed in the villages where the existing poles are, we are compelled to reach out to

more.

Sharing Jesus
Giving Hope
Transforming Communities

I want to remind you that in just one village, which was 50% Muslim when the Mission Pole was installed, 80% of the community is now Christian. In a village of 300 people, that is a

significant number of souls. And what price is a soul? It’s not only that people are turning from darkness to light spiritually; they are experiencing light physically too, as the LED

Street Lights illuminate the village.

I am so excited.

Putting in eight more Mission Poles is a huge stretch for us financially. Recently, I was preaching on Matthew 14, where Jesus feeds the 5,000. I was reminded once again that when

Jesus says, “You do it,” as He did to the disciples, He expects us to use what we have available. As we give and use what we have and with God multiplying it, He will meet the needs of the people.

Honestly, I don’t know how we will cover the costs of these eight poles, but I do know that God has it under control. All I need to do is listen, obey, and trust.

If you want to see where the existing Mission Poles are and where the new ones are going, please follow this link: https://wanderingsheep.org/ssgateway/ghana/. On it, you will see three

different coloured markers. Green means the pole is online, red means it is offline (often due to connectivity issues, but it is still working), and blue shows where the next set of poles are going.

If you zoom in, you can see the actual villages. After October, you will see all the blue markers as either green or red. Praise God.

Please pray for Josh, Bob, Alfred, and me as we travel around Ghana.
