CEO Letter October 2026

Hi Everyone,

Russell is away for the next few weeks enjoying some much needed time off, so I’ve been asked to share with you some of the fantastic and frustrating things happening with the Mission Poles.  First, the fantastic:  We received this report from Alfred, our engineer in Ghana:

Sharing Jesus
Giving Hope
Transforming Communities

“I’d like to share a story with you about Godwin Atapa, an elder of The Church of Pentecost, which is the only Christian church in the community. According to him, idol worship is very common in Doglokpo, and apart from the church, there has been little to no access to the Gospel after the Sunday services.

Gordon shared that ever since the Gospel Pole was installed, many people in the community have been drawn to it, and a significant number are turning away from their old ways. They listen to the Gospel while carrying out their daily activities at home and sometimes even while working on their farms near their homes. At times, they gather together to listen to the messages from the pole and engage in discussions about what they have learned. Even though there is no pastor among them, the Word of God is working in their lives in remarkable ways.

He also compared the phone-charging port to the story of the Samaritan woman who went to the well to fetch water and encountered Jesus. People come from other communities to charge their phones, and while they are there, they engage in discussions about the Gospel. These conversations are helping them become more committed to the Word of God.

Indeed, the mission pole is truly transforming lives in God’s own way”

The pastor’s analogy of the woman at the well was very eye-opening.  We knew the poles have become the centre of village life, that people gather round them to charge their devices, but we didn’t know the amazing effect they are having, that they are literally meeting Jesus there as they wait. Praise God with us, and pray that even more lives will be touched!

Beyond Words   Beyond Borders

Beyond ourselves

Now the frustrating: We have had to postpone our trip to Ghana to do more installations until next year.  Two of the three containers with pole components have shipped from China, but one is stuck in bureaucratic limbo with customs.

Please pray that this would be resolved quickly and the container will be shipped promptly.

Thank you for all your prayers and support.  Without you and other supporters like you this great work of ministry could not be done.

May God richly bless you.
